Vegan & Gluten Free Menu Options

Romaines’ salads naturally lend themselves to delicious and satisfying meals for people eating vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diets. Our wide variety of vegetables, along with many other tasty additions, such as walnuts and baked tofu, can make a full meal for those on special diets.

We also prepare our foods using recipes that reduce or eliminate hidden ingredients so that our customers know exactly what they are getting. For example, we don’t thicken our clam chowder with flour, in part so that customers on a gluten free diet can enjoy gluten free chowder. We think our unique chowder tastes delicious without thickener. Customers following a gluten free diet can also substitute a Udi’s roll for bread on any of our sandwiches to make it a gluten free pleasure.

We also provide a list of ingredients for our salad dressings.

If you have any special dietary needs, please just ask. We’ll be happy to help you select the salads, soups, and sandwiches to meet your requirements.

Vegan Menu Options:

Tuscan Salad, Garden Salad , Hummus Platter, Hummus Sandwich, and Make-Your-Own Salads

Vegetarian Menu Options:

Classic Greek Salad, Southwest Salad, Gourmet Salad, Salmon Salad, Portabella Mushroom Sandwich, and, Make-Your-Own Salads

Gluten-Free Menu Options:

Salads — all salads except the Caesar are gluten free.

Sandwiches — any sandwich can be made gluten free by requesting a Udi’s gluten free roll instead of our usual bread.

Now some small print: We make our own cookies, brownies, and other baked goods using Montana grown flour. We use proper methods to prevent flour from contaminating recipes without it, but we cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free environment.
